One random pool-playing animadiversion was discussing who one would choose to date/marry if one had to choose from among the island castaways.
Foget that.
Arwen or Eowyn?

Before I give myu answer, let me say I base it on the REAL (that is LITERARY) characters, not the movie versions:
Eowyn. Hands down.
She’s capable of tenderness and love as evidenced by her treatment of Theoden. She’s fiercely loyal to her people, understands the importance of freedom and its defense, and is willing to make that sacrifice herself. Plus, she can kick your ass, and that’s just sexy.
I agree with Brian. Even when enhanced in the movie Arwen was a wimp. All she could do was make moon eyes and go through adolescent angst.
To be fair, Bill, even the book’s Arwen isn’t without redeeming personality traits. She did, after all, give up immortality to be with hte man she loves.
Yes, but Eowyn was willing to give her life to destroy the Wraith king. I still love the scene where he says no man will kill him, and she says but I am a woman and runs him through. Nice play on words as well.
