There is a War on Christmas!

Thank goodness we have honest brokers like Matthew Staver and Bill O’Reilly to tell us the truth.

Good golly, my friends, one can unerstand Bill O’Relly - he is an entertainer giving his audience the red meat it craves and the sense of persecution it needs to feel. But supposedly Christian organizations being dishonest? I wis all of these cultural warriors would stop giving Christianity a bad name.

Dishonest? I’m not sure about that. Dishonesty requires that they knew the claims they were making were untrue. Inaccurate, irresponsible, reactrionary as hell, but as for dishonest, the jury’s still out on that count.

Having said that, please don’t fall into an ad hominem fallacy, Smallholder. While I wouldn’t go so far as to fall into line with the cries of “War on Christmas”, I would argue that there are elements in our society who would have any reference to the religious nature of the holiday removed from the public observation of the holiday. Just because a professor says it isn’t so “with a gentle laugh” doesn’t mean it truly isn’t so.
